This house is where Floyd grew up. It belonged to his father, Lee Collins. If I mistake not, after they sold the farm and cave to Dr. Thomas of Horse Cave and he sold it to the park, the Cave Research Foundation used it as a base when they were mapping/surveying Crystal Cave. Not sure if it was the CRF or another outfit of spelunkers but it was used as their headquarters when surveying. - KLP
